As a Kite Designer at Kitepower, you will be responsible for creating innovative and high-performance power kites. Your expertise in algebra will be paired with extensive scientific knowledge to optimise kite shapes and structures. With your previous experience in kite design, you will contribute to enhancing the performance, stability, durability, controllability, safety, and aesthetics of our kites.
- Learn to Develop and design new kite models tailored for specific purposes, such as power generation.
- Utilise algebraic principles to analyse and optimise kite geometries, aerodynamics, and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with the engineering and research teams from TU Delft to ensure the practicality and manufacturability of kite designs.
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, materials, and technologies related to kite design.
- Prototype and test kite designs to evaluate their performance, stability, and safety under different wind conditions.
- Incorporate feedback from test results and user experiences into iterative design improvements.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for kite manufacturing.
- Work closely with the factory and production team to oversee the manufacturing process and ensure design integrity.
- Stay updated with advancements in kite design, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Provide technical support to other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
- Strong proficiency in algebra for analysing and optimising kite geometries and aerodynamics.
- Kite surfing or paragliding skills
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating detailed technical drawings.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge in Kite design, preferably in the field of power kites, stunt kites, or parafoil kites of advantage.

- Experience in kiteboarding, kitesurfing, or other kite-related sports.
- Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for advanced aerodynamic analysis.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in kite design and manufacturing.
