As a Mechatronics Engineer at Kitepower, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our kite power systems. Your expertise in mechatronics, electronics, and electrical infrastructure will be essential for debugging existing electronics, integrating components, and bringing the electrical infrastructure to product stage. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the performance and efficiency of our innovative kite power technology.


Job Tasks

  • Analyze and evaluate the existing electronics and electrical infrastructure of Kitepower.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechatronic issues in the current designs to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to integrate and implement improvements based on identified issues and lessons learned from testing and field data.
  • Design, develop, and prototype electronic circuits, control systems, and mechatronic components for kite power systems.
  • Conduct simulations and modeling to predict and optimize the behavior of mechatronic systems.
  • Work closely with software engineers to develop and implement control algorithms for kite power systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of mechatronic and electronic components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source reliable and high-quality electronic and mechatronic components.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to electrical and mechatronic designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly instructions.
  • Support the transition of designs from prototype to production stage, working with the manufacturing team to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the electrical infrastructure.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechatronics, electronics, and renewable energy technologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of kite power systems.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to other departments, including operations, installation, and customer service.

Job Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting electronic and mechatronic systems.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, circuit design, and PCB layout.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for mechatronic system control (e.g., C/C++, Python, MATLAB).
  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems, particularly Kitepower technology, is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations for electrical and mechatronic systems.
