The test took place within the Dike Reinforcement Tiel\u2013Waardenburg project, where Dura Vermeer is actively exploring innovative solutions to accelerate the transition toward emission-free construction. With more than 40 heavy electric machines already operating on green electricity, the project provides an ideal real-world environment to evaluate new renewable energy technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within this setup, Kitepower\u2019s system is deployed alongside battery storage solutions from Greener Power Solutions to supply renewable electricity directly on-site and reduce reliance on diesel generators. The project allows Kitepower to test system performance under demanding operational conditions, while supporting Dura Vermeer\u2019s ambition to significantly lower emissions across construction activities. Data collected during the test phase will help assess the feasibility, reliability, and scalability of airborne wind energy for temporary and mobile energy needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to climate goals and innovation. Dura Vermeer aims to reduce CO\u2082 emissions by 50% by 2030 and 90% by 2050, and sees airborne wind energy as a promising addition to the future energy mix for construction sites.
