Kitepower is on a mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world by harnessing the power of wind energy at high altitudes. Founded as a spin-out of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, we are developing our first commercial system to power farms, construction sites, remote islands and off-grid communities with renewable airborne wind energy.

In collaboration with RWE Renewables, we are operating the Flight Test Centre near Bangor Erris, Mayo County. Check out his video to see what our system and the site looks like (link to youtube). We are selecting multitalented and hands-on interns to join our Hardware and Operations team in Bangor Erris. The team is responsible for ensuring the running of the R&D test site, executing flight tests, repair and maintenance of hardware and reporting of test results.

Additionally, you will be assigned an engineering project in your field of interest that aligns with the development of our system. You will have the opportunity to test your work directly onsite in real-world scenarios.

You will have a challenging internship learning the ins and outs of Kitepower’s airborne wind energy system which will complement your academic knowledge and gain valuable work experience.
