Job Tasks
The main project that you will be working on is upgrading our current Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setup. This system serves as an indispensable tool for verifying the functionality and performance of our Kite Control Unit (KCU). The verification process is multifaceted, encompassing both the assurance of flight readiness and the testing required to analyze the KCU’s response to various external forces.
The overarching objective of this project is to evolve the HIL setup. Currently, the system is primarily focused on static force testing. The aim is to transition towards a more advanced, dynamically controlled rig. This enhanced capability will allow for the simulation of more realistic flight scenarios, providing invaluable insights into the KCU’s behavior under diverse and complex operational conditions.
Furthermore, should time and resources permit, a secondary, yet equally important, goal is to future-proof the entire system. This involves developing the capacity to simulate even higher forces than currently possible. This ensures long-term relevance and effectiveness of our validation processes.
Next to that we can use your help for:
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and mechatronic issues in the current designs to improve system performance and reliability.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of mechatronic and electronic components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Aid in the assembly, benchmarking and integrating new or existing system components to ensure flight readiness.
- Create and maintain documentation related to electrical and mechatronic designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly instructions.
